What the role involves
Purpose of this role
  • You will play a crucial role in effectively and proactively handling the company’s regulatory matters, developing our business relationships externally and internally across all verticals as well as enhancing wider Compliance risk framework and operations.

Key responsibilities of this role
  • You will support all FCC related matters for our Estonian entity, including transaction monitoring, client onboarding processes and management of Compliance operations
  • You will prepare EDD reports on clients’ profiles for the MLRO’s review/approval
  • You will prepare transactions alerts related reports for the MLRO’s review/approval as needed
  • You will manage and advise on high risk transactions alerts (both Fiat and Cryptoassets related) that are generated by various systems/tools
  • You will initially review suspicious activity alerts and cases, before the escalation to the MLRO for a decision
  • You will regularly monitor in-house and 3rd party provided FCC systems/tools and open-source media to identify/assess risks associated with clients and their transactions
  • You will effectively utilise and develop knowledge of FCC related red flags, typologies, industry trends and the best practices
  • You will assist with periodic reviews of clients’ profiles, analyse their corporate structures and business models, funds flows and risk profiles as needed
  • You will manage Compliance operations and processes, as well as internal systems (JIRA) for that purpose
  • You will closely work with the Onboarding, Operations and Client Services teams and provide FCC subject matter expertise and support as needed
  • You will assist the MLRO and the Compliance team with the drafting and updating of internal policies, procedures and guidelines.

Essential skills for this role
  • You have at least 5 years of work experience in FCC / Compliance function as a Compliance Manager/Officer
  • You have professional work experience in Financial Services, Payments/Emoney and/or Cryptoasset sectors – e.g. Fintechs, Digital Banking, Crypto Exchange/Custodian and/or Auditor firms
  • You are qualified with the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (ACAMS), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and/or have relevant legal qualification
  • You have experience working with FCC related technologies and systems, such as World Check, TruNarrative, Napier, Chainalysis, Elliptic, Featurespace etc.
  • You have a clear understanding of how data and analytics can be used to detect, prevent and manage financial crimes in an innovative Fintech company
  • You have an excellent working knowledge of UK and EEA (and other main global) anti-financial crime regulations, rules, industry guidelines and trends within the Payments/Emoney, Banking and/or Crypto sectors
  • You have an excellent understanding of the financial crime risks and control framework, as well as the best practices for financial crime risk management
  • You have strong written and verbal communications skills, including the talent to deliver comprehensive reports and presentations to the MLRO and/or senior leadership
  • You are detail-oriented and balanced, with the ability to see a broader perspective and continually challenge
  • You are a well-organised, self-starter, able to prioritise quickly within an agile learning environment
  • You can meet critical deadlines in calm and efficient ways, even within tight timeframes
  • You thrive on collaboration and enjoy continuous development
