What the role involves
What are the key responsibilities / activities of the role:
  • Utilise a modern tech stack to analyse and query databases
  • Create, analyse and draw insights from financial/accounting reporting
  • Develop and own dashboards and reporting
  • Research, share and implement new methods to empower the usage and unlock the value of data
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business to gather reporting requirements
  • Problem solve data-related queries
  • Communicate insights to senior management and across the organisation key to important decision making
  • Opportunities to learn and develop your understanding of applications and transforming data landscape
  • Set up processes and systems to improve data efficiency
Must have experience
What is the scope of accountability for the role?
  • Develop and owning data models, dashboard and reporting
  • Data analysis and the query of databases
  • Ownership of Jira projects

What are the essential skills, qualifications and experience required for the role?
  • Professional experience with SQL required. Python desirable (but not mandatory)
  • Experience and understanding of logical data modelling
  • A background in accounting with understanding of accounting principles and reporting
  • Experience within an Agile environment/Atlassian tools are desirable
  • A strong attention to detail and quality, especially as it applies to data
  • You are a clear and confident communicator
  • You are a self starter who can take proud ownership of your work
  • Demonstrate ability to manage stakeholder expectations
  • Have passion working in a dynamic and growing start-up environment that is tight-knit, challenging and funYou have strong analytical, organisational, and prioritisation skills, with a belief in writing documentation as part of SQL queries
